This curated selection of nine photographers examines the relationship between objects and subjectivity, positioning the photographic image as a site of resonance rather than mere representation. Across the works, objects move beyond descriptive function to become carriers of affect, memory, and projection, reflecting layered states of interior experience.

The exhibition brings together diverse artistic approaches that engage photography as a space where the visible and the intangible intersect. Everyday elements, as well as objects displaced from their original contexts, operate as points of entry into personal and psychological narratives, revealing tensions between presence and absence, materiality and perception.

Rather than offering a unified narrative, the presentation foregrounds a set of correspondences across practices, where each work proposes a distinct negotiation between object and subject. In doing so, it invites viewers to engage with the images as open structures—spaces in which meaning is not fixed, but continuously constructed through perception and reflection.

In this edition of ChAco, we aim for each work, conceived by different artists, to be presented as a small capsule of its own world. We seek to propose a shared territory—a meeting space where figurative and abstract languages engage in a mutual dialogue. In each piece, the figurative unfolds its capacity to narrate and anchor the gaze in the recognizable, while the abstract offers an open, sensory experience that challenges the need for literal interpretation. This coexistence of languages does not seek to draw boundaries, but rather to reveal the in-between zone: a place where reality dissolves into suggestion and the imagined takes shape. A hybrid territory that celebrates the plurality of perspectives and the richness of coexisting within the shared space of art.
